Jammy has a wide variety of lights designed to facilitate the US Federal requirement for Enhanced Flashing patterns of lighting for agricultural vehicles and implements. This requirement, the ASABE S279.18 standard, requires any farm machine or towed ag implement, produced after July 2017, that obscures tow vehicle lighting, to have its own lights which flash in a special pattern as indicated in the demo illustration below. The same standard has also been adopted by the Canadian province of Manitoba and by other local Canadian ordinances.
This pattern is created using Jammy’s AEM Series Enhance Module – a special relay that converts a tractor (tow vehicle) lighting signal into the special “enhanced” pattern. The demonstration simulates a typical install with two (One Amber & One Red) AC1 Series lights installed on EACH side of a farm implement being towed by a tractor on a US highway. Among the requirements are that the lights opposite the direction of the turn illuminate steadily and the lights in the direction of the turn flash in unison at an increased rate vs the standard driving mode.
